TRADITIONAL XHOSA VILLAGE VISIT – highly recommended!
Meet your local host, her family and friends in their traditional Xhosa village.

● In a traditional rural hut be transported, by your hosts’ story telling, on a wonderful cultural experience and learn more about the Xhosa traditions.

● Share a traditional meal made from locally grown vegetables and grinded maize while the women tell you their stories about how they sustain the family while their husbands work in the cities. Most of the villages you will learn, are managed by grandmothers and mothers.

● Visit Nxingxolo Primary School and make a donation if you wish. The school children are always happy to have foreign visitors and will probably sing a song or two for you, as long as it does not interfere with their class time.


TOWNSHIP & CHURCH VISIT
Meet the people, church experience and ‘Chesa Nyama’.

● Visit historical sites in the African city of East London.

● Learn more about the disadvantaged communities in East London.

● Attend a local church service in East London. The singing and fellowship will move you, this is a joy’s experience of people and colour intensity.

● This experience is followed by a visit to a venue called ‘Chesa Nyama’ for an interactive barbeque with the locals. These are venues where the locals on weekends meet with friends to unwind and catch up on the weeks happenings, have a drink and something to eat.


CYCLING
Mountain biking in the whole region with scenic rides near Cintsa.


HIKING
There are many scenic hikes along the rugged, under-explored coastline.


HORSE RIDING
Horse riding on the beach in various locations including Cintsa, Morgan Bay and Port Alfred.


SAFARI
Extend your stay by visiting one of the malaria-free Big Five game parks in this region.


SURFING
Surfing with surf shops all along the coast including Jeffrey’s Bay and Coffee Bay.
